Dr. De’Borah K. Isaac is a faithful and dedicated member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, a Christ-centered ministry committed to teaching the Word of God, serving the community, and building the Kingdom of God. She is grateful to serve in a church family that values sound doctrine and spiritual growth.
She serves faithfully under the leadership of her pastor and teacher, Reverend Allen E. Ben, whose visionary leadership, biblical teaching, and pastoral care have been instrumental in shaping her spiritual growth and leadership development.
She faithfully serves the church in multiple leadership and support roles, including Deaconess Secretary, Senior Mission Director and Instructor, and Director of the Greeters and Junior Ushers Ministries. Dr. Isaac also serves with the Senior Usher Ministry, Sympathy Ministry, and the Feed My Sheep Ministry, where she helps provide hot meals to the sick and shut-in within the community. Additionally, she is an educator in the church, teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Summer Enrichment programs. She also serves as President of the Seven District Women’s Auxiliary.
Dr. Isaac is a product of the St. Landry Parish Public School System and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Grambling State University. She later obtained her master’s degree in theology and went on to earn a Doctorate in Biblical Psychology. She is also professionally licensed by the state to practice, allowing her to integrate biblical truth with professional care.
Beyond the local church, Dr. Isaac is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and serves as financial Secretary for the National Association of University Women, Incorporated, Crowley Branch. She is committed to promoting service, scholarship, leadership development, community engagement, and the empowerment of women through education and Christian values.
Family is deeply important to Dr. Isaac. She credits her faith foundation and strength to the love, prayers, and guidance of her mother, Janet Guillory, and grandmother, Madie Lee Johnson, whose lives have been a constant example of perseverance and faith in God. She shares a special bond with her brother, Phillip Isaac, Jr., whose support and encouragement have been a source of strength throughout her journey. Above all, she treasures her role as the mother of her only child, Tyler Fonville, whom she considers one of God’s greatest blessings and a continual inspiration to live, serve, and lead with purpose and love.
Grounded in Scripture, Dr. Isaac lives out her call to serve with humility and excellence, embracing the words of Jesus: “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all” (Mark 10:43-44, NIV). She is also guided by a Kingdom-focused vision, standing on God’s promise: “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33, NKJV).
